- Plot: After a company of Marines shows up, the town of Jericho has hopes that life will finally start to return to normal.
- Synopsis: Because the supplies will never last everyone trough the winter, mayor Gray Anderson decides the last wave to have arrived should leave. Jake is startled to find USMC men and a tank roll in, telling now the war against Iran and North Korea is won, the federal government reunifies in Columbus, Ohio and promises to normalize life, but Jericho, being in a better state then most of Kansas, will probably get a low priority for engineers corps help. Jake helps lance corporal Maggie Mollin repair a radio, which alas orders the platoon to rejoin the division. The mayor swings a deal with the commander, but Jake smells a rat and sends Stanley on reconnaissance; Army veteran dad Johnston Greene agrees they are fake Marines, who now have superior firepower and half the town's supplies, but they can be outwitted, only- what about the effect on the local moral?
